Entertainment

Starlit Hui: Uncle hosts this evening celebration at the Hālāwai Lawn that features traditional and modern entertainment, including hula performers, Hawaiian-style music, interpretive dance and more.

Aunty’s Beach House: This interactive kids club offers a variety of complimentary activities—with childcare included—for ages 3 to 12. You’ll also find programs for parents and their toddlers during the Open House hours between 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

‘Ohana Disney Movie Nights: Take a seat on the Hālāwai Lawn and watch family-friendly Disney movies under the stars. For extra amusement, come early and enjoy pre-movie trivia competitions.

Mo‘olelo Fire Pit Storytelling: Guests of all ages gather ’round a fire for a night of enchanting tales told by a master storyteller. Mo‘olelo Fire Pit Storytelling is held at a fire pit located between the Waikolohe Valley pool area and ʻAMA‘AMA restaurant.

Pau Hana Room Community Hall: For families and friends looking to connect over video games, board games, arts and crafts, books and Disney family movies, the Pau Hana Room has what you’re looking for! DVD rentals are also available.

Kids Activities

Disney Junior Aloha!: Toddlers and their parents can start the day at Aunty’s Beach House with dancing, crafts and cartoons. This program is complimentary for—and exclusive to—Aulani guests during the Open House hours between 8 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.

Aloha Fun with Disney Characters: Throughout Aulani, little ones are sure to spot some familiar faces—Disney Characters who can’t wait to meet them!

Eruption Disruption: During hands-on science experiments with The Professor, guests ages 3 to 12 learn about island formation and more. Located at Aunty’s Beach House.

Menehune Adventure Trail: On this high-tech scavenger hunt, explore Aulani to solve riddles, search for statues and discover surprises left by the Menehune—mischievous little people with magical powers.

Menehune Musical Mix-Up: Using clues, guests ages 3 to 12 team up for a scavenger hunt at Aunty’s Beach House. They’ll find musical instruments—and then learn to play them.

Stitch’s Space Goo: Stitch and The Professor have a variety of experiments that will wow kids ages 3 to 12—and they’ll even make the Professor’s secret Space Goo. Located at Aunty’s Beach House.

Play Date at Aunty’s Beach House: The youngest Aulani guests and their families are invited to an interactive, high-energy party. Festivities include an “iron baby” diaper derby, crafting, dancing, cartoons and a special visit from a favorite Disney friend!

Uncle’s Kahakai Canoe Racing for ‘Ohana: The Hawaiian outriggers were marvels of their time, known for their beautiful and speedy craftsmanship. Uncle shares his knowledge of canoes, and then guests and their ‘ohana build smaller canoes to race on the beach.

Disney Family Fun Animation: Watch a brief documentary for glimpse into Disney history. Then, paint an animation cell while watching two classic Disney cartoons that will have the whole family laughing.

Teen Activities (for ages 13-17)

Island Beach Challenge: At the beach, teenage guests team up to compete in a series of physical challenges and fun games. It’s a great way for younger Guests to meet new friends at Aulani.

Island Treasure Photo Hunt: Teens love this interactive photo hunt around Aulani! Later, guests exchange their documentation for a key that could unlock a treasure chest of prizes.

Ki‘i One (Sand Sculpting): At the beach, teenage guests learn basic sand-sculpting techniques. After a little training, they face off in competition to determine the best sand sculptor!

There are more teen programs available, such as Teen North Shore Beach Zone, Teen Animation, Teen Sunset Mele, Teen Hoʻokani Pila.

Cultural Activities

Aloha, Welcome to Aulani: Aunty shares the legend of the Compass Rose and uses Aulani to explain Hawaiian navigation. Then, enjoy an informative Q&A session and a visit from a Disney Character.

Keiki Hula: Kids are invited to come to Aunty’s Beach House and learn about the famous Hawaiian tradition of hula—and master a few fun moves, like an ami hip roll.

Ohana Hula: Delve deeper into Hawaiian culture with a free hula lesson for the entire ‘ohana. Explore this famous tradition as you master a few fun moves, like an “Ami” hip roll.

Hoʻokani Pila – Learn the ʻUkulele: Families meet to learn about Hawaiian instruments and how the ‘ukulele became such a positive influence in the Hawaiian culture. They will also get a beginning lesson on how to play the ‘ukulele as well as learn a song or two.

Māka‘ika‘i, the Art and Culture of Aulani: Aulani features one of the largest collections of contemporary Hawaiian art in the country. Explore the art of Aulani on this complimentary, in-depth walking tour.

Māka‘ika‘i, the Nature and Wildlife of Aulani: On this guided walking tour, learn about the landscaping, nature and beauty of Aulani—and see what inspired the Disney Imagineers who designed this Resort.

Pools and Amenities

Beach: Recreation abounds at the beach! Stroll the soft sands, make a splash in the Pacific Ocean or unwind in a beach chair (chairs and umbrellas are complimentary to Aulani guests).

Shake-A-Shaka Pool Party: “Shake-A-Shaka Pool Party” is a totally hip surfer party. After all, surfing originated in Hawaii, so what better place to celebrate it! Guests learn surfer lingo from the North Shore, how to ride a gnarly “A-frame” wave and “what’s in” and “what’s out” in surfer fashion. No need to worry about being a “kook,” or a new surfer, because everyone’s a pro at Aulani!

Waikolohe Stream: Enjoy 2 tubing adventures from atop Puʻu Kilo at Waikolohe Valley: rapids that twist through caverns and a lazy river that glides gently along the Hawaiian landscape.

Waikolohe Pool: This 8,200-square-foot, zero-entry pool offers refreshing fun for all ages. Enjoy splashtacular slides and pool parties with some Disney Characters.

Ka Maka Pool: This beautiful infinity-edge pool features a whirlpool and a themed grotto.

Wailana Pool: Separated from the lively main pool, this adult-exclusive pool area is a relaxing retreat.

Menehune Bridge: Located at Waikolohe Valley, this interactive area is designed for younger Guests and features 3 slides, a play structure and more!

Keiki Cove: An interactive splash zone inspired by the tidal pools, this whimsical water playground is designed for kids ages 5 and under.

Whirlpool Spas: Enjoy Aulani’s variety of whirlpool spas for complete relaxation—and some offer beautiful sunset views.

Fitness Center: Our fully equipped health club features cardio and strength training equipment, a Kinesis machine, free weights, a stretching area and more.

Driving Directions

Get directions to Aulani, located about 20 miles from Honolulu on the lush, leeward side of O‘ahu.

From Honolulu International Airport (HNL)
1.Start out going south on Rodgers Blvd toward Aolele St. (go 0.13 miles)
2.Turn slight right onto Aolele St. (go 0.24 miles)
3.Turn right to stay on Aolele St. If you are on Punihele Loop and reach Arrivals you've gone about 0.4 miles too far (go 0.22 miles)
4.Turn left onto N Nimitz Hwy/HI-92. Continue to follow N Nimitz Hwy. (go 0.52 miles)
5.Stay straight to go onto Kamehameha Hwy. (go 0.09 miles)
6.Merge onto H1 W toward Aiea/Pearl City. (go 16.68 miles)
7.H1 W becomes HI-93/Farrington Hwy. (go 0.94 miles)
8.Take the exit for Ko Olina
9.Turn slight right onto ramp. (go 0.56 miles)
10.Stay straight to go onto Aliinui Dr. (go 0.1 miles)

Helpful Terminology

If you ask a local for directions, they may use terms that you won't hear elsewhere. Instead of east, west, north and south, most people will use:

•Makai: Toward the ocean
•Diamond Head or Windward: East
•Ewa or Leeward: West
